Bangkok Art and Design Part III - TCDC (Thailand Creative & Design Centre)

As this is going to be my last post on Bangkok Art and Design, at least for the moment, I have chosen to write
about the TCDC - Thailand Creative & Design Centre. For those who come to Bangkok for the first time the
sightseeing schedule might be packed with numerous temples and (food)markets, but this is definitely a place
not to be missed if you are interested in design and books.

The TCDC includes South East Asia’s biggest design library with over 25,000 books. (photo from the internet)

The White Temple (Wat Rong Khun), Chiang Rai

As one might know, Thailand has many temples.. about 40.000 of them. During my travel in Northern Thailand
I heard about a temple of a unique appearance. This is why I dedicate this post to Wat Rong Khun or The White Temple
just 8 km outside the city of Chiang Rai.

Bangkok Art and Design Part II

Today I want to write about a special place which is probably a unique concept around South East Asia.
I discovered it recently and was even seriously thinking about becoming part of it, but hey Barcelona is still
waiting for me! I am talking about the V64 Art Studio in Bangkok.

Bangkok Art and Design Part I

Being in Bangkok a few weeks now, I had time to explore the artistic side of the vibrant, crazy city. There are so
many things to see and do and not all of them are written in the travelbook, of course. Some hints just come across
by coincidence. This is why I divided the whole topic into parts. The first part I am dedicating to the BACC,
the Bangkok Art and Culture Centre just next to the famous MBK shopping mall (BTS National Stadium) in BKKs city centre.

The Art Graden - Hidden Treasure on a small Island

The last two weeks I ve spent on Koh Lipe, Thailand, a small Island in the Andaman Sea close to the Malayan border.

Easily to get around in one and a half hours by foot, I discovered a hidden treasure in the very centre of the island.
An artistic place which invites like minded people to do some arts or just hang around and enjoy the tiny guesthouse.
Far away from the busy Walkingstreet, surrounded by the jungle, this place has a special vibe where inspiration comes through.
